Exactly – many of us have favourite colours that we’ll use time and time again. If you really love a particular colour, it’s handy to create a colour palette/ mood board to decide on new accent colours for a change-up.

I found the Love Colour book really inspiring. Once you decide which colours you really love and start building your rooms around them it become easier to find a cohesive scheme.

Yes exactly! I love pops of bright orange, but wouldn’t want a whole room of it. But it’s so personal – a colour which makes me feel relaxed, might have the opposite reaction with someone else. It’s a tricky subject!

Completely agree with all of your points, and I think that colour selection isn’t just a matter of whether you like / dislike it, but relies more heavily on how it makes you feel! I personally love bright orange, but I wouldn’t paint my walls it! I think it would be too much!
