At last, another room about to be completed in my house, our tropical bathroom. If you read my previous blog you will know this is my first house (a small Victorian terrace), with my boyfriend Tom, and I’m so exciting to finally be able to bring together all my ideas. And to be styling rooms, as opposed to room sets for Audenza, and of course, to be able to bring home lots of Audenza goodies!
We have a really nice big bathroom, but it’s very bland and the shower is quite old and grimy! Not quite the luxury retreat I envisaged for our first bathroom. I find mood boards really helpful, so I put one together for our bathroom renovation. An extravagant, tropical bathroom in pink and teal, with black accents to make it more striking.

We enthusiastically encourage you to live fabulous and fearless and we are taking our own advice.
As we admitted to you last week, the fear of saying the wrong thing has held us back from commenting on certain issues in the past, but as history itself isn’t passive, neither shall we be moving forward.
Top 10 Gallery Walls Inspiration
12 Jun 2020
I love a gallery wall but, ooh I do find it difficult. I have a small one in my bedroom above a turquoise chest of drawers that I love, but I had a particularly disastrous one in my garden room a few years ago that I think put me off attempting it again on a large wall. On analysing the ones that I’m drawn to they are a mixture of artwork, photo’s, and objects such as plates, mirrors, wall sconces and greenery. I like the contrasts.
So, for those of you out there, who like me are struggling, we bring you our top 10 gallery walls inspiration. And even if you have nailed it, it’s always intriguing to see what others have done. We have also included some tips on how to achieve the look from the owners of gallery walls that we love.
We Love: BestHeating Radiators
22 May 2020
Is it possible to lust after radiators? After viewing BestHeating radiators, unbelievably, yes! Most of us have them, and most of us are either oblivious, or resigned to them. I’ve changed my doors, my electrical sockets and switches, my door handles, my cupboard handles – need I go on? And now it seems I have to change my radiators. Well, strictly speaking I don’t have to but they have bothered me, in a low-level sort of way, for several years now. And it’s going to bug me now I’m sitting staring at these 4 walls day in and day out. Possibly why I spend my time in lockdown in the garden. Much easier, and cheaper, to buy a new plant than a new radiator.
To brighten up your lockdown life, and herald the arrival of spring and all the wonderful colours springing up everywhere, we tour the home of Anna Jacobs. Anna is a British artist and designer living in a rented home in London with her 2 young children, Zachary and Coco Rose. In a way it’s often more inspiring to see what can be done with a rental property as there are so many limitations to creativity. But nothing has limited Anna’s quest for an original and visionary home, so prepare to be inspired and stunned, with its colour saturated interiors and colourful wall murals.
A visitor to my house once remarked “you must really like looking at yourself because there are mirrors everywhere”. He had totally missed the point! Mirrors are the most amazing decorative tool ever, and have the ability to transform a room into something special. I very rarely look in the mirrors that abound in my home, in fact I make a point of avoiding looking in them, where possible. Better to remain oblivious, I think, of the ravages of time. Moving swiftly back to the point, here’s our 7 tips for styling your statement mirror!
A fun family home is the subject of our house tour today and what better way to liven up our lives at this stressful time than be transported to such a bright and quirky home. Lucy lives here with her husband Steve and their 2 daughters, Darcy aged 7 and Alice aged 4 in a small village near Henley. Lucy’s style ethos is ‘colourful, happy and quirky’ and she has achieved this and more – it’s quite magical.
5 Ways To Brighten up Social Distancing
3 Apr 2020
We think it’s fair to say that most of us are feeling the effects of social distancing at the moment. Whether that be missing friends and family or not being able to get out and enjoy this beautiful weather as often as we’d like. But now more than ever, it’s important to find joy in the everyday and to find ways to share that with our loved ones. So we thought we’d share 5 ways to help brighten up social distancing.
To start this post, I can’t ignore the present situation that is a worldwide catastrophe. Tears are never far away, not least because I can’t see my grandchildren for the foreseeable future. But we are all in this together, if remotely, and we are sending loving thoughts to all of you.
Paint colours seems such a trivial subject at the moment but maybe for some of us, finances allowing, it’s a chance to forget what is happening and rejoice in our homes. That said and moving swiftly on, our 5 favourite paint colours for 2020 are tried and tested by us, bar Lauzuli, by Zoffany, but as this is the paint colour of Sophie Robinson’s hallway, I think we are in safe hands with that one.
