The latest edition of Modern Gardens has hit the shelves and my garden is featured! It was a very exciting day when the photographer Lesley Anne came to photograph the garden, preceded by a mad day of tidying, dead heading and hedge trimming by me and my son Henry. I had been away for a week, and as any gardener will know a lot goes on in the garden in a week, so it was a bit of a mad dash to get it back shipshape and fit for viewing. Amelia has taken a few shots for me of my favourite bits of the garden, so I hope you enjoy the tour!

But THEN I received a release about a new wallpaper design from 17 Patterns (a company I’d never heard of before). As soon as I opened the email, I was in love. This Flamingo design is just divine, isn’t it?

I love gardens and like nothing better than spending any spare time visiting gardens –from small courtyards to vast estates. Although quite often it’s the small gardens that give you the most ideas, as inspiration can most easily be translated to fit suburban plots. So, I thought I would share some images of my mum’s verdant and stylish suburban plot for inspiration.
